Examples: Transdermal therapeutic systems (patches), liposomes, nanoparticles, sustained/controlled-release oral formulations, and implants — designed to achieve targeted delivery, sustained plasma levels, reduced dosing frequency, and reduced systemic toxicity compared to conventional formulations.
