Two examples of live (attenuated) vaccines:

  1. BCG (Bacille Calmette-Guérin) vaccine — live attenuated Mycobacterium bovis, protecting against severe childhood forms of tuberculosis.
  2. Oral polio vaccine (OPV) — live attenuated poliovirus, inducing both systemic and mucosal (intestinal IgA) immunity.
