Two examples of live (attenuated) vaccines:
- BCG (Bacille Calmette-Guérin) vaccine — live attenuated Mycobacterium bovis, protecting against severe childhood forms of tuberculosis.
- Oral polio vaccine (OPV) — live attenuated poliovirus, inducing both systemic and mucosal (intestinal IgA) immunity.
(Other valid examples: MMR vaccine, varicella vaccine, yellow fever vaccine, oral typhoid vaccine Ty21a.)
