a) AST
b) LDH
c) Troponin I
d) CK-MB

Answer
Correct answer: c) Troponin I
Cardiac troponin I (and troponin T) is the most sensitive and specific biochemical marker for myocardial infarction — it is not normally detectable in the blood, rises within 2–4 hours of infarction, and remains elevated for 7–10 days, allowing both early diagnosis and detection of infarction that occurred several days earlier. CK-MB, though useful, is less specific (also elevated in skeletal muscle injury) and returns to baseline sooner; AST and LDH are older, non-specific markers rarely used now.
