Answer

Four salivary gland neoplasms:

  1. Pleomorphic adenoma (benign mixed tumour) — most common salivary gland neoplasm, usually parotid.
  2. Warthin tumour (papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum) — benign, almost exclusively in the parotid, bilateral in some cases.
  3. Mucoepidermoid carcinoma — most common malignant salivary gland tumour.
  4. Adenoid cystic carcinoma — malignant, notable for perineural invasion and a “cribriform”/“Swiss-cheese” pattern.
