  1. Aflatoxins — produced by Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, contaminating improperly stored groundnuts, cereals, and other crops; hepatotoxic and strongly hepatocarcinogenic (a major risk factor for hepatocellular carcinoma, particularly in the presence of chronic Hepatitis B infection).
