Paper II
Question
Name the testicular tumor not associated with GCNIS
Answer
Spermatocytic tumour (spermatocytic seminoma/tumour) — unlike classic seminoma and other germ cell tumours, it arises independently of germ cell neoplasia in situ (GCNIS), typically occurs in older men, and has an excellent prognosis with essentially no metastatic potential. (Testicular yolk sac tumour in the prepubertal/infantile setting is also GCNIS-independent.)
